These are the moments I’m closest to the ocean, literally. Most of these images were taken while surfing or swimming, with the camera in hand or tucked in my wetsuit or boardshort pocket. Shooting from the water is unpredictable, but that’s the part I love: you never really know what the next line, reflection, or texture will look like until you get home and explore the day’s captures.
Some shots come from long sessions in warm Costa Rica water, others from chilly mornings in California or clean days in Mexico. They’re simple, honest glimpses of the sea from the inside; the way it feels when you’re waiting for a wave, watching light move across the surface, or diving under a set.
Most were edited originally for Instagram Stories, where I usually share things in the moment, and later archived here in near-chronological order so they can live a bit longer than 24 hours.
If you connect with the ocean on that level, these images are for you. Each one is available as a print, desk mat, poster, or puzzle.
